Kudos from a happy customer!
I was surfing online and found a wonderful review from a happy customer. I found the comment on www.inderpages.com (BTW a great site – very informative!). Here is the link if anyone want’s to check out the actual comment: http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3720955022. We (my mother and myself) just want to say thank you for the wonderful comment. We really enjoy what we do and it is a great joy when someone takes the time to recognize it. The following is what they had to say:
Kind and NOT pushy

I had already purchased my own gown, but I was looking for a place that still provided Venus gowns for my bridesmaids. I had a dress in mind and she was one of the few stores in RI that still handled them. I also was looking in other states for my other bridesmaids. So I ended up calling a ton of salons and interacted with many shop personal/owners. Out of everyone, she has been the most honest and willingly helpful.
In fact, I ended up calling her twice in a row thinking I was calling a new place. Rather than being offended, she laughed and offered even more helpful tips. She did not pressure me to make all my bridesmaids go to her nor use them for alterations. She even gave some good advice when I told her that we were also looking on-line. Basically, saying to make sure that those you deal with on-line actually has a real store front. Often times you end up getting not what you expect and might even rip you off in other ways. She just said to be careful.
Since RI did not have tax on the gowns, and CT and NY did, she offered to send my out of state gals their gowns for free.
Oh and this dress on most website only post that the sash came in while or ivory, but when I first saw the dress it was in the matching color as the dress, and that was one of the things I liked about it. So unlike the other stores that I called, she instantly called the manufacturer directly to find the answer. The other stores where obviously too lazy to make a simple call.
Then later, in appreciation for me trying to get everyone to go there, she gave us a 10% discount when she had her sale week to all my maids whenever they ordered and those that did already will be refunded.
The gowns came in and I went over to check them out with some of my bridesmaids. She made a mistake and forgot to order a shorter length for one of my girls and instantly offered a free adjustment w/out even asked to. Normally, for this type of dress it would be pricey to do, since they had to take it in at the waistline instead of a hem.
And as I mindlessly walked away forgetting to take my out of state girls’ dresses (i figured since I was there anyway I could save her some postage). She called me back and gave me a great big hug.
To close out, I so do recommend that you still try to visit your local stores for things, rather than buying everything you want on-line. One day you might wonder… what ever happened to all those nice mom & pop stores where you were treated with the small town caring feeling?
